(4-year Curriculum / Full-time) (September 2021 Entry)

This programme aims to provide inter-disciplinary education to nurture professionals in Land Surveying (LS), Geo-Information Technology (GIT) and Underground Utility Surveying (US).

  • The programme will change from BSc(Hons) in Geomatics to BSc(Hons) in Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics from 2018-19.
  • Three specialisms – Land Surveying, Geo-Information Technology and Utility Management and Surveying – will be combined with effect from the 2018-19 Year One intake.

Career Prospects

Graduates become professional land surveyors, geo-information technology specialists or utility specialists.


Programme Aims & Learning Outcomes


This programme is underpinned by the philosophy that our graduates should be capable of coping with rapidly changing market conditions in Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland and the region, and with the demands of their future professions in land surveying, geo-information technology and utility management and surveying. The Department has close links with professional bodies and invites industry experts to give guest lectures to students whenever appropriate.
